Photo galleries are an easy way to add interest to any room. They can show off a mix of art work, pictures, mirrors and tokens from trips or family keepsakes. Don't be afraid to add things other than pictures- keep it interesting! I personally like when the gallery is asymmetrical; I feel it creates more visual interest in the room but symmetry can also create something special for a room- give it some clean lines and a nice tidy feel.

Pouf!
I love Pouf's! I love they way they look in a room and I just like to say the word Pouf! I know the floor pillows are a little different but I have grouped them in with my love of poufs. Floor pillows do not have the history or quality of the Moroccan poufs- but I love them all the same- they are easier to lounge on and cozy up with. Moroccan poufs tend to be very costly $300-$500. They typically take 4-7 days to make just one. They are made with the highest quality leather and hand stitched to perfection. They are considered an investment piece in your house. Use a pouf as a small table, footrest or extra seating. They can work with any style from traditional, modern, contemporary or casual. Since their popularity, you can find poufs in almost any color, material or design and a wide range of prices as well. I prefer the more natural textures and textiles but I also love a pouf in a bright hue to add a little pop of color to an otherwise neutral room. Pouf!

How to wear your Dirty Hair...
Ok so I must admit- I only wash my hair about two times a week. I have really coarse thick hair so the longer I go without washing it the better it looks. Birchbox calls this "second day hair" but for me its more like third or fourth day hair. My second day hair is usually my best and I like to wear it down. So whatever your day might be- you might want to try out this little trick. I tried it this morning and its great!

Preppy
I saw this picture on Pinterest the other day. I love the look- so I decided to recreate it. One thing I realized is that I do not own one single white button down- ridiculous- this should be a staple in any girls closet and will definitely be my next purchase.
(clipped to polyvore.com)
This is my recreation- except it actually looked a whole lot better on than whats featured here. My shirt was actually a black and white striped button down and it went perfectly with the Banana Republic skirt. I love my tights! They have a slight chevron pattern to them- makes them a little more interesting than plain black tights but not too wild so that I can wear them to work. I was never a huge fan of the "popped collar" however it worked perfect with this outfit because the scarf made it look not so cocky. I put my hair up in a messy bun and I was out the door- perfect outfit!

Update: B-day Week
I had a wonderful birthday week- the little things I did for myself really made for a wonderful week of celebrating. Not to mention the time I got to spend with family and friends (and the fabulous gifts they gave me!!!)
Update: Wednesday I bought a 20 oz Vanilla Latte (not skinny) and left work early. Thursday- Thanksgiving! I spent to day surrounded by my family. The food and company were both wonderful! Friday my husband and I rode our bikes to the LSU game-- GEAUX TIGERS!!! We snuck in a flask of whiskey, had some peanuts and tiger dogs- had great seats and enjoyed the game. Saturday- Nathan and I did our Saturday errands- best part was we finally bought curtains for our bedroom. We got black out curtains too- its pretty fabulous! And finally Sunday- the actual birthday- I had an amazing brunch at Bistro Byronz with friends and family. I am a very lucky girl!
PS- I went over my birthday budget in the first day- I bought the Anthropologie sweater featured in several of my previous blogs!!!! And its just as cozy and wonderful as it looks.

Glam Tip: Flaky Lips
Winter is coming and there is nothing I hate more than chapped flaky lips. I saw this on Olivia Palermo's Blog. Its a great tip for those wintery lips. So pucker up that pout for some holiday smooches ...
- By Teresa Greenfeld - With winter fast approaching, the combination of freezing temperatures outside and aggressive radiators inside can reek havoc on your lips. To combat a flaky pout, apply a little Visine on a cotton ball and swipe. Follow up with a moisturizing lip balm and pucker up!
One of our favorite products is from Elizabeth Grant’s The Socializer and includes a powerful duo of exfoliation and moisturizing – check out The Socializer – Can you keep a secret? Lip Exfoliator! ( which I will be purchasing as my Tuesday-something-special-for-myself for birthday week!)

Hello Monday- Its Birthday Week!
On sunday I will be 30, so I have declared this week to be my birthday week. I've decided that I will do something special for myself everyday this week. Today I slept in late (but not too late- still managed to get to work on time :) ). I threw on all my new clothes. I bought this adorable skirt from the Banana Republic outlet this weekend. It looks similar to the one above except its a little bit of a softer yellow with a hint of plaid to it. I also purchased a blue silk blouse- also similar to the one above except it has 3/4 sleeves and its a lighter blue. But the best part of my outfit is the new string of pearls my wonderful husband gave me for my birthday. He surprised me with them on saturday. I was getting dressed for a wedding when he surprised me with a Barker's box!!! I immediately tore into the box to find a beautiful string of 20 inch 10 1/2 mm fresh water pearls- they are lovely! I have the most wonderful husband!!!
